Exhibition "Infinitely India" highlights Glory of Kapurthala’s Heritage at Albert Kahn Museum, Paris France

A thematic journey that accompanies the first time the course which covers both rites of purification, as the art of adornment, costume mixed, the transition from reality in India… The symbol that is meant by a plural at the beginning of the twentieth century, unveils its thousand faces and in particular its mosaic of religions and beliefs.

The second part of the exhibition examines three centuries of history of the Mughal Empire before discovering the splendor of imperial or princely houses.

In 1927, the operator Roger Dumas is invited to make a news story that immortalizes the Golden Jubilee Jagatjit Singh (1872-1949), maharajah of Kapurthala, Punjab. It sees the Indian princes alongside the British in the forefront of which stands the viceroy of India. Roger Dumas then travels Mewar in Rajasthan, ruled by a proud traditionalist leader, the maharana Fateh Singh (1884-1930) and discovers his extraordinary feud Udaipur - "City of the Rising Sun".
